Admission Criteria

Membership of the Association shall be open to:
a. A person of good character and must be from an IGBO speaking tribe of the eastern part of Nigeria.
b. A person who is based in Nigeria or have lived Outside Nigeria but currently residing in Nigeria.
c. A person who accepts to abide by the Constitution of TGIF. The Rules and Bye-Laws Sections of the TGIF Constitution.
d. Members shall pay a registration fee of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY A THOUSAND NAIRA (N250,000) which is assumed to be the price of one
cow and an additional N100,000 for the purse
e. The new applicants shall be identified by at least two (2) financially up-to-date members of the TGIF who have been members for 4 months and above who
shall stand as guarantors for the new applicant;
f. The guarantors must at the meeting show why the applicant should be admitted into TGIF;
g. Members shall have the rights of voluntary exit subject to the approval of the GENERAL HOUSE.
(i) Such Member must return all TGIF properties with him.
(ii) A member whose life benefit has been collected is deemed a life member and has no exit option unless he/she returns the benefit collected from TGIF.
(iii) Any member that exits without notifying the General house is subject to legal litigation and must submit all in his possession that belongs to
TGIF.
h. Any Member that changes address should notify the welfare Committee for documentation and recording.
i. The General Secretary will initiate an online database which every member MUST access to update his membership every year.
